A middle-aged man with the initials D (56 years) was arrested by the police for throwing Molotov cocktails at the Al-Istiqomah Mosque, Duri Kosambi, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, Saturday (26/12) evening WIB.
The action of the man from Jatimulya, Kosambi, Tangerang Regency, Banten was quickly discovered by the residents and congregants of the mosque who then evaded them when he was interrogated.
"Currently the perpetrators have been secured by the Cengkareng Police and will be handled by the West Jakarta Police," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for West Jakarta Police, Kompol Teuku Arsya Khadafi in Jakarta, Saturday night.

When the congregation arrived to perform the Isha prayer, suddenly a bomb was thrown over the fence of the mosque, then into the courtyard of the mosque.
A mosque congregation nearly fell victim to a Molotov cocktail target that shot from outside the mosque.
The congregation then saw the suspect and interrogated him, but the man seemed evasive. This caused a commotion and crowd before the Cengkareng Police officers arrived to secure the man.
Until now, the suspect's motive for throwing the Molotov cocktails is not yet known. "We are still in deepening," said Arsya.
Meanwhile, Head of Criminal Investigation Unit Cengkareng AKP Arnold Simanjuntak explained the bomb throwing incident.
"It's true that someone has been arrested, a man who allegedly threw a bottle of gasoline into the mosque. Currently, West Jakarta Metro Police has handled him," he said.
